Here in Texas the local (global now) phone company insists on using Speech Control if you call in to pay your bill.

Now I love my wife more than breathing, but she was born in China and has a "slight" accent. OK it is really a BAD accent, but I love and understand her (and sometimes tease her about the way she says "zoo")

She cannot use the phone pay system. She tries constantly... I usually end up shouting the instructions to the phone from across the room (which amazingly works!) and she gets grumpy at having to hold the phone up.

oy! Just thought i'd share... I see this thing every time my wife calls a voice control menu...

But he shouldn't be using it on coding purposes.

Hehe... I did it the other way around when I was programming assembler on my ZX-81. I had a Texas Speech Hardware device that spoke the hex codes while I lay in bed checking them. This worked very well...
