I was perusing through shell32.dll today looking for an icon to use for a small utility I had written when I ran across this one that I'd never seen before:
I thought, "Hmmm.... That looks vaguely familiar..."

OK, you found out. Bill Gates is really Fred's evil twin
P.S. someone get that black helicopter and a team over to Tipperton's house right now

Microsoft is now using the word "gadgets" for the little apps that run in the
sidebar of Vista. Check it out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desktop_Gadgets
So for those who thought "gadget" is unprofessional, what do you say now?

that is a dirty trick... in a year they will try to tell Fred he isn't allowed to use the word "Gadget", because it's a MicroSoft-Element.......

They'll have to sue Inspector Gadget first...
The gearwheel is actually not really part of original PB logo.
I think the guys at PureBasic.de invented that one.
I later used it to create an icon for MacOSX, as it was the easiest to do in a good quality (i am not that good with graphics)
Now that we have a much nicer version of the famous Z icon, we're of course using that again

Too many other projects have a gearwheel as a logo, so we stick to our very own one.

I doubt it, Fred was using "Gadget" long before Microsoft did....
Though if they did, they'd probably win because they'd have all their money to throw at it...

They might give Fred millions just to stop using the word Gadget.

So does this mean PB v5.0 won't really be a major upgrade so much as a rewording from such things as GadgetList to ThingyList?
That would be just another major M$ pain in the Arse.
Oh well, I guess thats what M$ calls progress
