I've passed by this gas station a few times but never noticed the sign... Sorry for the bad quality - crappy phone and the worst possible place for the sun to be. You should have seen the local natives (red-necks) looking at me posturing for a picture.

Haven't seen a Pure station for ages. Don't have any around here anymore. Where is this one?
Thanks for the chuckle.

I have never noticed them before. I was excited when I noticed the sign. The station is right outside of Cartersville Georgia on the way to Rome.

No doubt! Serious hillbilly area...

I pulled up in my BMW next to Skeeter in a dump truck. He seemed very confused about what I was doing...

@Beach
Guess you didn't get the word... political correctness is now required!
You may no longer refer to the residents of WV, TN, western VA, western NC, and northern GA as hillbillies.
The are now known as
Appalachian Americans
And, Bubba (he's the one with a shotgun in his pickup's rear window) is encouraged to enforce that.
Thought you would want to know...

No way you could know... but Skeeter is my nephew. I had a message from him just this morning. It went something like this:
I'd stopped yestiday headed home to get me a chaw o Red Man when a weird lookin fella pulls in twixt me an the Quik Stop. I knowed he warn't from aroun' chere, cuz he was a drivin one of 'em furrin cars. Anyhows, he was a lookin at the sto kinder funny and then he ups and points some kinda ray gun or somethin at the Quik Stop like he were a takin aim at a tom turkey. I warn't gonna chance for the place to blow up or sumpthin, so I kicked ol' Bertha into granny gear and hightailed her on outta there.
But, I guess everthin was awright... cuz it wuz when I stopped this morning fer a 6 pack fer breakfast.
I actually do have a nephew called Skeeter and he does drive a dump truck for a living, just in NC not GA.
