Hello
My friends I have been quiet for a while a question came to me hence the title above.

I dont know - I am good but I am not very good - I would like to here from a guru - and how will we stand one day very close with dx10 on our heels...
and where will fred stand on this i know its abit soon but i think its important...
hey I am putting it out there
what do you think ?

Well first off I am thinking Vista is the next Windows ME.
Second I am thinking this "permissions" thing is going to HURT instead of help unitl Microsoft develops a patch that makes vista behave.
Third... I don't think the above will really happen anytime soon!

well wish it was the next ME, sorry but by "permissions" by that do you mean that it has to be in a user profile directory.
Yes I think the same thing i have had a drink so i would like to say sorry but i thought its going to cause problems - dont get me wrong but now the platform just changed again
sorry for my whoooes but it worrys me...
I think and tell me if i am wrong - I think that MS and Intel and AMD are all in too much of a rush - but where does that leave us programming - for example....
if we write somthing that works 95 98 me 2000 xp

lots of laughs - then we have now to make sure it works with vista so i guess we have a bit more to do because of "permissions" is there any other problems...
for me its now xp and vista but that might not be the case for others....

Older programs work fine in Vista, but the user might have to specify that they trust the program about to run.
A simple note in your readme or order page about the issue and it should be fine

I haven't had any problems with Vista. Mind you I didn't have any problems with Windows Me either.
SoulReaper: Shove an old HDD in your PC and download the trial, you have a month or so to try Vista out. If you don't like it - swap back to your old HDD.
