Whismaster at least made one or two "requesters" work.
He would like to see more QT, but since it's a OO-Classlib it won't be that easy I think. Don't know.

Well, it's cool that someone is also trying to get QT stuff to work in PB.. QT is more portable, Fred would need to write only one code snippet and he can already compile it on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.. QT4 would be the key to make the Mac port more succesful

If PureBasic used QT then every PureBasic user will need a QT license to sell his program. Which isn't a good idea.

What about the KDE libraries?
You can also use them in Windows:

KDE is built ontop of QT so we still have the problem of license

but since there is a QT4 Open Source edition, that must be used only for OSS... whould be possible to add it to PB (linux or win) ?

No.
Its impossible to link any GPL licensed code statically with a PB program, as the PB libraries themselves are not under the GPL.
It doesn't matter what license you put the PB source under, the PB libraries themselves are the problem.
The only way to use QT with PB is the commercial license model.

What's wrong with GTK2?
It's just a matter of taste.

Bump.
QT has been purchased by Nokia and is now available under the LGPL
