2D CAD package

I need an okay and free (or cheap

) 2D CAD package. I'm not entirely happy with the way Autocad does things (in fact, I hate it)... One of the packages I used a long time ago was TurboCad (on an Atari ST) and that was quite right.
Anybody who has a good suggestion?

This may not be what you're looking for, but if all you want is to design room layouts (bedrooms, office space and especially kitchens) then theres quite a good & free 2d planner from Ikea that is available on each countrys site - just search for "download" at
http://www.ikea.co.uk
Also generates a reasonable 3d view and produces a pricing estimate...

Google Sketchup.
Easy to use, good for static 2D output. Free version only does PNG and GoogleEarth export. Pro Version isn't cheap. But there are some ruby-Scripts to export from SU to other programs (e.g. Blender).
A9tech Cad program is good. I use it a lot!
