Weird creativity

Is this usual? 
If I need some program to do simple task..
Past: I usually search internet, ask friends and hint ppl to "could you help me with this .. and that"
Present: Even if I know than there is program to do it and even if I know exact url to that application .. I just code my own app to it. I have even ported couple of simple apps from another languages to PB.
Future: Only limited knowledge of language limits me code everything
Update: NO, I'm not going to take over the world
