The speed issue has been discussed (and closed) here:

BTW, you seem to have some good commercial apps at your site for sale
already... what is your interest in another programming language?

Or PowerBasic.....? I have one, it's very similar to PureBasic, but more complete libs.
(But you can still write your own library in LCC or PureBasic itself)
Anyway don't choose IB, it's pants.
Well, everyone needs to do something for living.

Hi!
I bought IBasic a year ago. It's nice, but I never made a really useful application with it. Today I found PureBasic and it does seem interesting. From the demo I understand that it doesn't have a dialog editor. This is found in IBasic and even in RadASM a freeware IDE for assembler programmers. Why is this? And what about closing the speed issue? From what I understand nobody has actually compared the speeds. IB people claim IB is so much better and PB people do the same. What about some evidence? I'm not a IB spammer. I do most of my programming in Delphi (free for non commercial use

Sorry guys!
I never did my homework did I? If I had read more in this forum I would have found the speed test. I tested it. You are all right. IBasic 13344 ms, when compiled to .exe it was 9344 ms. If PB can do 40 ms or even 10 ms - wow count me in. I will confront IB and Pyxia with this. I do feel sad about it since Paul is a nice and helpful guy, but hey 233 times slower, that's ugly.
C ya!

I have been thinking about this. I will not confront Paul and Pyxia. He is a nice guy and I guess he's been doing his best. I will leave him alone and just buy Purebasic.
