Assember command not found error when compiling PB examples.

Hello all,

I have been using PB for almost a year now and I just purchased a Mac-mini a couple of months ago. I got the idea this past weekend to load PB on the Mac. Pretty painless to load.

I have one problem and one question:

1) Every example program, that comes with PB, that I tried to compile on the Mac I get an error during the compile. A message box appears telling me this: "Error: Assembler command not found". How do I fix this?

2) There is no GUI designer, right?

Thanks in advance,
nb

Maybe you did not install the XCode environment. This is required to compile PB programs. You can find this on the Apple-Developer Webpage (free download) or on your Mac OS X DVDs.

Another point could be, that you are using a Intel-based Mac. There is actually no support of PB - that's why we are waiting for PB V4 on Mac which does it hopefully support.

Thanks for your reply. I do have the Xcode stuff installed. I use it for other things.

I think the problem is the latter. I do have a Intel-Based Mac. So I guess I am now waiting too.

Thanks for your help.

You can actually patch Purebasic to run on Intel Macs, but Fred didn't tel me yet wether I am allowed to release a little patcher to do so.
