Just bought Kales book on CafePress. Did a quick search for CafePress coupons and got $5.00 off using the coupon CAMERAVISION which is valid until tomorrow. Apparently CAMERAFLASH will also work until the 21st.

Was thinking of sending a copy to my brother, but on the check out page it says unless you opt for special shipping it won't ship for 2 - 3 weeks.
Still says will ship in a 'minimum' of 5 days on the book page so I guess they're not kidding. Do they only print these when you order or something?
cheers

I use to do that OnDemand ordering for my training CDs. It's nice. You don't have to outlay a ton of cash and you can make updates, upgrades without having a lot of older, outdated product laying about.
Many other industries are utilizing this, such as manufacturing, for one example.

Yes, that is really neat. I knew they did it in manufacturing, but didn't realize book publishing had adopted it. I thought they still did normal batch runs.
Can you actually make updates book to book?
Like can you 'personalize' a copy?

cheers

Yes and yes! The book is now really on revision 3 (spelling and grammar corrections, etc.) I could even change the binding to hardback or ringbound too.

 but i'm not going to.

Ooooh, so we early adopters have "flawed" copies which could go for quite a
packet on eBay!

  I wish.
