So guys what's your opinion on this console?
I've never liked any of the Xbox or PS ones, i can't use it's controlers for more than 5 minutes, cause they hurt my hands.
But wii is exactly what i expect from a console, i predict soon, many wii like controlers will appear on desktops and other devices, cause they are 'natural' and put fun back into gaming!
Your opinions are welcome...

How long before people are getting strains or injuries though.
Nintendo will be getting lawsuits thrown at them.
Nice idea though, I wouldn't mind having one.

My friend has ot a Wii console... WoooooooooW
It's great! The onliest thing is, that the controler is too sensitive for me. You move your controller to the left/right for only 2 mm, but the person in the game turns around twice...

This is why I can't play "RedSteel"...

i think they couldve come up with a better name....
its not so nice to be reminded of a bodily function when referring to a console...

cannot agree, the controller in redsteel is exactly here.
and btw, redsteel is only for ppl older 18 ........
next step for realism is to buy an plastic uzi (or similar) and put
the controller inside ...

Same here. That's why i got a classic joystick (Asciiware joystick for PlayStation 1), and i adapted it for PC parallel port, and also being valid for PS

For me, Nintendo is for kids 13 and under

Basically, the Wii is a Gamecub with tweaked hardware.

In the "SUEDKURIER" - a german newsletter - was an article about the first users of it: The controllers destroyed whole TV sets, because when the hands of the users were wet (reason: playing more than they should) and the controllers flew away like a bird.
Can you play with this controller on a 17" monitor?

Such controllers already exist since Super Nintendo (SNES)...

I even had one in my own hands and played with it!

Far more early: I had a old Sega or whatever(Noname?!) which just could display dark and bright green. There was a game with such controller-weapons.

Lightgun games have been around for ages. They are awesome, though the wii doesnt use the same tech as light guns, I'd assume a similar method of play would be possible.
If you've ever used the xbox 360 controller, its basically the most comfortable controller ever made. Its ultra-smooth and conforms right to my hands. You can even plug it into your PC.
The wii looks fun but the console isnt worth $250+accessories. I'll wait for the price drop.

it depends on what you expect.
for me is easy gameplay and having extremly fun together
more topic than highresolution gfx.
And,the wii is quietly, while the xbox (both) are extremly loud.
If the wii saves me 10 evenings without visiting a pub i
would say that is the money worth.
but thats a personal point of view.
