Hi,

I've just downloaded the entire Windows platform SDK and have installed it no problems.

However, in the help folder there's a whole bunch of help files in help2 hxs format. I've no expericence with these.

Do I need Visual Studio to view these or is there another way? I'm not even sure what's in them, just curious! :)

Thanks.

I spent 5.7% of the time you used to write your post on Google, and found this nice tool: http://helpware.net/downloads/H2Viewer135.zip

Its seems to work great; but yes you can use Visual Studio (even an express product) to view it :)

Thanks for the great link.

Having sat around for an hour and a half waiting for the entire SDK to download, I was a little weary. I did a Google search but obviously didn't use the best search words etc.

Everything I found was talking about having to register the collections first and so on. It got a little confusing! :?

Thanks again, that viewer is excellent. I can use it for the MSDN library as well because I don't want to install the entire Visual Studio on this machine, just MSDN.

np :)

Well its like spelling errors or some of the stupid bugs in programming. Other people might find them on the spot and you just say "dough" because you didn't think of it :)

Yeah! Its worth more than gold & diamonds if you can use it correctly. even though its free.
