Bye bye PureBasic!

It was nice to code with you, but lastly I figured out it wasn't the language I wanted. Falling back to Netwide Assembler

.
But as my license is valid forever, whenever I realise my mistake, I'll come back.
Special thanks to Fred, freak, Berikco & the rest of the team.
Big thanks to all people here in this forum, especially thefool, GeoTrail, techjunkie, srod, and all great coders!
I have learned a very important lesson from PureBasic, and the new Linux version was a really good move Fred!
I am saying bye bye now, everybody live in peace and have fun!
Thank you for reading this post.
PS: I have used PureBasic since version 3.80, so don't think I'm a "use it a month or 2" n00b.

I've been drifting back and forth from Pb to D to C to C++ and back again. You'll use it for things, but likely they'll be smaller apps or hacks.
PB will always have its place, for some people its a different place than others and thats cool =)

100% agree with dracflamloc here. IMHO there is no ultimate programming
language. Maybe there is a language you prefer - but in the end - program-
ming languages are just tools to create something which you are forced to
do (contract work) or to realise your own ideas (lucky one

) .
I really want to encourage you to learn another language - but I really
believe that you will use the "tool" purebasic again, because it is so easy
to create cool results with it. So no use to say "good-bye" to it !!!
Have fun programming ... no matter in which language you code ... be
creative and try to realize your ideas with the programming language
which suits the best

Well said benny.
I've tried alot of different basic languages before I fell into the loving arms of PureBasic. And I still do use some of the old ones I used in the past, but PB is something I will never stop using, no matter what. And as you said, it's not what language you use, but being able to get the results you need, that is the important part. And speaking for myself, PB is all I need. Oh, and coffee off course

Well, v3.80 wasn't that long ago... I've used it since v2.40

You'll miss all this friendly banter though, I bet.
Where else can you get so much abuse in such a short time, without paying for it of course!

Well, since you're nothing like josku_x, I'm very sorry to see you go
Stop by from time to time and chat. Tell us how you're liking Netwide Assembler and have a piece of pizza courtesy of the netmaestro.
