Why not implement a calculator into the PB-IDE? This would be very useful in many ways.

I asked Fred to do this, but he's not interested.
You can add the Windows calculator under the Tools menu of the editor
though, which is a compromise, I suppose. Just set command line to
Calc.exe and give the name
Calculator to Menu Item Name.

That's why the custom menu is.. I doesn't see the point to reinvent the wheel when a calc is here with all windows...

It's a marketing issue, Fred. A newbie who is checking out PureBasic
could see a calc icon in the toolbar and be impressed. As it stands,
he may try PureBasic and wonder why this programming language doesn't
even have a basic calculator in it... they don't know that they have
to add their own under the tools menu. It's worth considering for
that very reason...

PB, I must say I agree with Fred, it's an editor for programmers
and hacks etc, so just use the windows calc, not sure I'd include
it by default, I have a calc link in my task bar for quick ref
but have never seen or needed it in my favorite editor.
Just my two pence worth
I'd much rather see some of the other features already mentioned.
It ain't broke, don't fix it:)

Perhaps... I'm not going to bother if the editor keeps getting updated
officially, because it means I'll have to keep re-inserting my code all
the time, which will be annoying. Case in point: I was working on
changes to v3.40, then v3.41 came out...
