Secondly, you can now subscribe to topics. This system basically replaces the old "notify me by email when someone replies to this topic" approach. IMHO, it's a much better solution - Sorry it took me so long to get it working. Please note, this facility is not available if you use the "Quick Reply" method of replying to a post.
Re: Recent downtime.
As many of you have noticed this forum has been down several times in the last week, complaining about "too many users". I do not physically host the pages and currently share IIS with several other sites. It is possible to migrate to a more robust and faster server, but this costs money. I will be evaluating my finances in the coming months and if such a move is within my means, I will do it. A friend of mine uses the "advanced hosting" package and has *never* encountered down time - I kid you not. Would be nice... Also, for jusy £100 a year, I can have full access to MS SQL Server 2000. Now that would make these forums positively fly! I will update you further soon.
Thanks for everyone's continued support (and patience on a few occasions).
Leigh.
