Might be old news but they were "new" to me... JPEG.. jeez, thank god I only use PNG

Although its not so bad after all... It seems that they will only bother hardware developers (I didnt read it all, just half-through - But it seems so).

About GIF: the patent-w/e has been void since a few months no?.

I think gif is safe just about everywhere. But country by country, so maybe some patent is still lurking somewhere.

Not that I'm a hardware manufacturer... but if they start bothering with software developers, ouch!.
