perhaps my memory fails me, but wasn't there at some time an onboard clock in windows? something like a round analog clock that you could place on the desktop?

Not unless you mean what you get when double click the clock in the system tray.

Why don't you code a top-dog clock yourself!

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... wertoy.exe
Put it in its own directory and execute it. Then run clock.exe from the same directory.
Edit: Don't click the xmouse thing. It will cause problems.
