Was recently investigating Microsoft Detours. So I d/l the free version 1.5 available from the MS site. Was talking to a friend at work about converting it to a PB library. he said "Why don't we just get the boss to buy a license for the commericial 2.0 version?". Sounded good to me so off we go, boss said "OK, sure, if its a reasonable price.". So I send an email to MS (as requested on their site) to inquire about a license. The answer comes back, i'm eagerly reading... "blah blah blah.... $10000.00 USD... blah blah blah..." <screeching sound as I put the brakes on and back up> WHAT!, ya got to be kidding!

$10,000.00 - MS who you trying to fool.

do you just need basic api hooking?

I'm struggling to see what you'd use detours for? It seems to operate at a very low level.

Must be something in it though if MS are charging that much for it!

@thefool - Yeah i saw that in the past and have used it. Thanks tho for reminding me about it

@srod - i'm with you sort of. I don't see a real big application for it unless you do a lot of hooking stuff. I just wanted to play around with it and make it work in PB.

The price on this thing, I was expecting maybe - at the most - a few hundred bucks. But $10K ? Gheesh!
