Okey I just installed the latest beta, english version.
Everything works ok however I was thinking... hows MS going to prevent the sharing of illegal data now that they added the "Share Folder" feature...
I mean, people was saying that this version of messenger was going to be very limited and strict on all kinds of ways, now that I see this option for sharing folders, it makes me think about it ...
True people is stupid (sorry to you

), They always talk with out knowing about the subject... (uh is this my case right now?), so Is MSN going to implement any kind of limits to this sharing? perhaps they'll parse the file names on a black-listed database ? (lame protection I know, but would be quite fast).... Would they parse different small chunks of the files and compare in a database? (wow this would be massive, lots of processing power required, lets not mention on the wasted bandwidth...!), or they'll just wont care about it?.
There must be an agreement where if you're sharing illegal data, they could shut your .net account down perhaps...
Any pointers on this?... I just can't believe they are adding this type of features.. Very handy for development though! (It was one of my ideas believe it or not).

Dont wink on me, hassel fag!
I don't use miranda anymore since its not stable and I need stability, I had ripped off all plugins even debugged the ones I left, still it was not stable, I compiled it by myself, still not stable, tried some french compiled versions, still not stable. resolution= trash it until it becomes stable.
Did I told you I have made my own MSNP compatible library in PB though? a month ago, you can sign-in and send a message, change your status, etc. But it's console-based since I was just testing my lib.
However if you don't use any display-picture plugins, or that icq-like window plugin, then its quite stable... But if you want the comfyness of other clients in miranda, it will eventually crash on you. I even had trouble when receiving files (not speed-wise, all was setup correctly on my router

, but trouble with stability itself...

Heck, thats why your name was listed in "future users"!.
They could however, they serve the service and you're not paying, they could just shut you down if they wanted and dont let you use it anymore with out even giving you a reason for doing so..

Emh you didnt really check it out then, you just share folders between contacts, its no way an edonkey client/server. ...
I play by stability, and functionality. Almost no custom client supports either webcam or voiceclips (because of the closed-state codecs being used), heck, most of this clients dont even support display pictures or personal messages... Don't come to me saying you don't need that because I know you use it, now go hide it from your system before I see it...
Miranda is OSS, but not stable.
Trillian is not OSS, seems more stable but, not free if you want the whole pack.
Theres about 100 other clients I'm not mentioning because only 5 of them are worth giving a try but none is 90% stable, which is bad.
The guys that develop msnp are from MSN, so I gotta trust their client since it is stable even on beta releases. I dont need a gay posture about this, since I dont care how much memory a client is wasting or not, if its doing its job then fine, its what I need for work, most contacts use Messenger and we do use webcam with voice/talk quite a lot. Pardon me but Skype wont cut it. And yes I have my plans for developing my own closed-state skype for work purposes!!!!.
