you guys have developed a very impression product. I just recently 'discovered' purebasic a couple of weeks ago and I have been playing around with the demo (v3.94). I worked with powerbasic and before powerbasic I worked with quickbasic. I've only scratched the surface with regard to all the commands available, but so far it's easier to use (although the keyboard handling is different. I am use to powerbasic for dos) then anything else i've seen (far easiler then C/C++) and very powerful (It lacks a few string functions which i've used in the past, but added alot more in other areas).
You need to find a way to attract more attention to your product because i think you can get alot of people to switch over from something else, if they knew about this product.

I agree with you on the get-the-word-out idea. When one says it's "Basic-like" then that other person listening usually frowns and says, "psssf, no thanks". But, if one can get them to try it and see they can code for multiple platforms with a Basic-like syntax and still utilize Windows API calls and ASM... well, you Basically have a powerhouse that's just waiting to blow it's roof off.

I would define PureBasic as a 'self-selling' product. Thus, its only contestual commercial limit is, IMHO, the chance that Mr. Smith has to try it and see its possibilities.
I would point toward an even better indexing in the web [+flexibility, +assembly]: it's maybe true that many of us discovered it looking (googleing) for 'basic', possibly because they felt the limitations of the tools they were previously using (well of course that's at least my "story").
In the website, while the description is very well done, I would stress some concepts a little more such as:
- Maximum flexibility, with the unrestrained ability to use PB trough basic syntax alone as well as to use it as a High Level Assembly tool.
- You can do virtually everything, you can do it fast, obtain fast code and still have space for low-level optimisation.
- I would add a quote ftom Num3, which we all could subscribe: "No one can be told what it is... You have too see it with your own eyes"

This given - the product is self-selling, it could be spread like bread by having people giving demonstrations. "See me doing miracles while maintaining full control on the machine". That's a possibility I would consider if I was the developing team.

Oh, I forgot:
- Transparent internals.
I'm just not at ease in programming if I don't know what the tool is doing.
I guess this is one of the things that sweeps away most of the other products.
