Is this true? MS and PB?

This relates in a way to PB, and the off topic forum says its for things that don't relate to PB, so I think this is the right forum to ask this. If its not, i apologize.
Is it true that MS is thinking about aquiring PB, or it just a rumor?

last time i talked to pb he said his girlfriend didn't wanna sell him yet... she though 25c wasn't enough, it should be at least twice that...
oh, pureBASIC, ah... now that is a rumour
(fred, fred, please tell us it's not true, please! after activex and comobjects we would end up with... euh... puresharp? <shudder>

No offense to PB and Fred, it's a
fantastic product, but it's in it's own niche that I can't see how it in any way meshes with what MSFT is doing.
Where/how/when did you hear this rumor?
I live 20miles from Redmond (Microsoft headquarters), want me to drive down there and ask Bill?

I think my heart almost skipped a beat until I realized this will probably never happen.
I think if it ever did I would cry for 30 days and nights and send the tears in "crystal rock" jugs to the microsoft offices.

think it's a troll from gameworld that sparked it on the powerbasic website
either that, or the tricks from winx club have gotton hold of another part of the codex and are now using their charmix on poor SFSxOI
(can you tell what my kids have been watching lately?)
anyway... come to think of it... SFSxOI... who are you anyway?

I dont have a link, I just happen to see it in passing in an IRC channel the other day...just one mention of it. Then I saw a post somewhere in these forums (i think it was these forums) where it was mentioned...and then i just wondered and thought i'd ask the question. Not trying to start any rumors, well....maybe just a little one

SFSxOI, you nearly had it right, just the wrong way around. Fred is sick of MS bloat, and is launching a takeover of MS so he can trim windows down a bit. As soon as that happens you'll be able to do everything you do now, but in 64 k of RAM with a 40 mb harddisk.
(All Fred needs is two more registered users, so he has a little spare cash in the takeover warchest).
