Ah, don't you mean (wink):
You just got the printer and it's doing that streaking. So you will return it for a new one because it is still covered under warranty at the store (and manufacturer) you bought it from?!

I was hoping that a member be an expert in cleaning/reparing printers and could "talk" me trough the process of cleaning my mess, I just hope it's fixable without spending a lot of money, already spent enough.

If it's the plastic hi gloss sheets, and not paper, you will have a dirty fuser unit...if not damaged. Coz it will be melted...
It's the one with "Caution HOT" on it.
Maybe you can clean the fuser roller...but thats goin to be difficult if never done before.

i was afraid it might be the fuser, a new fuser cost about $450 us dollars.
i did buy the extended service plan and will see if they make good on it.

If you "just bought it" why can't you just exchange it for a new one? It's
obviously dead-on-arrival so you shouldn't need to go through a warranty.

@PB: the printer was OK until I screwd it up by using coated paper, failed to read the warning that's in the docs, besides, i should have known better.
did call the store where i bought it from, told them what happened and they replaced it with a new printer -no charge-

Glad to see my suggestion worked.
I use to work tech support and to mess around inside of such a printer after that type of mishap is no fun, for sure. That's why I recommended such course of action after you put forth that you just bought that printer.
*thumbs up*
