idea about purebasic forum

hi
this idea isn't original and infact i got it from blitzbasic forum!

PB developers (fred and their team) what do you think about making pb forum like a pb developer network? in this case only pb registered users can post in all over the forum and unregistered users can only read the posts and just postin in general (or maybe pre-buying or something like that)
i think it can be a good point for buying and registering PB.

in blitzbasic forum posting is available only to registered users and also searching the forum. but i think that isn't useful cause you can search it by google anyway!

regards

i beg to disagree, one of the strong parts of purebasic is the community, and the best way to prove that is make and keep the forums free accessible to everyone!

I strongly disagree with this. The locked forums @ blitz was the reason i didnt buy.. i couldnt find anywhere to ask questions! Then after a while i found purebasic, and, sad for the other users ( ) i kept being here..

That's precisely why I didn't get into BlitzBasic at all... it doesn't make any
business sense at all to force your potential customers to do things.

as i said in my first post, there must be an open forum (general or something like that) for all visitors. also everyone can read the forum and search the contents.
the main idea is having special forums for pb registered users, that i think is fair. cause why an unregistered visitor must post something about bugs or triks or feature wishes?!
potential customers just need to ask about general subjects i guess.
any way it's just a suggestion and nothing more:) peace brothers, peace!

Actually, my father bought XP for me as a gift. :)

And I was referring to where there's competition anyway... Microsoft is a
monopoly, so there's no choice. Yes, there's Linux and MacOS, but how
would I run all my Windows apps at full speed on them? I can't. If you
know how, then maybe I will actually switch to one of them. ;)

Linux - Crossover Office 5.0.1! Pretty stable - Converted several versions of QuickBooks and other apps using it.

Except for games of course.

But you could always try Cedega for that - or keep a dual-boot just for games, as most Linux users do.
