Amazing it works!!
The tv channels are not correct named (some) here in the netherlands but it works. Program has a 20 second lag behind the real (air) transmission.
BUG: in fullscreen mode you can NOT switch channels!!
REM: what is "favoritos" not implemented?
I can watch tv in America from the netherlands (that is europe) very smart!
Since this is a 15 day demo. What will it cost?

It is possible that it is because detects connection to Internet.
(I use a commercial protector.)
With Outpost Firewall or Sygate Personal Firewall I haven't any problem
... But I changed an option in protector... Can you test it again, please?

One legal question I have about it :
Is it legal to charge money for such a program
The core programm uses
services (tv-streams) from other companies. That what its main function is.
Couldn't there be any legal trapfalls ?
I just ask because I wanted to do something similar (not with TV-streams)

Are you going to update the feeds automatically ? There are already broken/dead links in the program!
Where are you getting the feed from ? Some of the websites have far more channels than you are showing!
Do you expect to sell this program, when there are online listings of the feeds you can click on and watch!
It appears you are going to charge for a front-end to free content! You obviously have no ethics, or humanitarianism!!! Great Idea

I thought this was a great idea. Then I saw the legality question. I asked one of our companies legal eagles. The answer (of a general nature) is....
Its not legal in the US if the material in the stream is being re-distributed for a fee in some manner without proper permission or licensing. Its not legal in the US if the material is provided free and someone charges you to receive the material on a subscription basis. However, if you purchase software to receive the material and do not need to subscribe or pay a regular fee or royality to continue to use the software to receive the material then there are no legal problems.
In short, the product would be legal if it was only a one time purchase with no continuing fees or any of that stuff because it would be no different then purchasing a television to watch off-air public broadcasts.
So as long as the product can be purchased once and there are no subscriptions, or fees, or royalties, etc....just like walking into a store and buying say for example a software game, the the product would be legal in the US.

some channels give me a error, i had debugger running (example ARD Germany)
some other Running without error.

What I thought was something like this ... that it would be legal to sell the
programm itself (no matter how you decide to charge it) as long as you
do not include certain services/urls from existing channels. So, that every
user has to do it by his own or has to download a list seperately. And of
course this list has to be free(ware)
Any ideas on this way :roll:

what i gather is that it would be legal in the US for a person to purchase the software and access what ever free material there is that the software was designed to access, as long as the software maker did not charge a fee for continuing to use the software to receive the free material.

Sorry by delaying so much in responding (I have been without dsl these days).
The updatings of channels I will do them periodically (I want to put a button where you can report the broken links).
About legal questions, I think this is legal, since there are various commercial programs of the same style.

Yes, but they have probably paid a license to stream the channels.
Better do some legal checks, just in case... you don't want to get
into legal trouble.

ROFL. Rocks. Didn't even know we had a "Strip News.TV" in Germany. LOL.
