I don't know how to ask you, I am just curious, in your country can you live decent??? Where I live, (You wouldn't like to know) was allright (back in the 50's) but now many people can't afford even to buy food and this is not a joke.

I don't understand why is this happening... Have you got any idea?

Not without knowing which country you're talking about.

Ok... If you really want to know, it's about Romania..... The problem is another one... I cannot post it because it would be rasist and I'm not like that.

I think that back then your country's economy was artificially supported. I expect that, in the next years, it'll grow and belonging to the EU will benefit your country, I'm sure. But I'd find it a bit weird that the poverty you describe would be too much extended these days, but you know better, of course.
Dunno what's racist about saying what country you come from, BTW.

I was in Moscow 3 years ago (which is is supposed to belong to a more rich country than Romania nowadays), and there was really tight to buy food, because a medium salary was about 100 to 200 euros/month (working in office at least 8 h per day). There was lots of thing in the supermarkets, but i saw lots of food there was expiring because people didn't purchase.
However, there people was very good informed how was the things out Russia. Everyone knew perfectly how was the thinks in Germany, in Argelia, in Ethiopia, in USA, etc.
So Inf0Byt3, Romania is a well documented country, as Russia. Then i think you know perfectly what is the situation in each country now; at least in Europe.
I personally live in Spain, and i am much more poor than medium people, but medium people here has more than one car, more than one TV set, everyone is able to buy a high laptop, etc. however, houses' prices and precariousness of jobs are the main problems here now. (and stupid nationalisms, of course).
I strongly would like and strongly hope that a unique government for all Europe countries who judge terrorists in Spain and in every Europe country, and who takes the control in everythings.

For your consolation, another true: That's the problem of the world, not only Romania.

Hi Info0Byt3
I live in Poland. I am making a small bussines with people from Romania. If you want to write for me the simple code in Pure Basic, write to me private message. Sending money from Poland to the account in Romanian bank is not problem at all. We are all Europeans now.

I live in Argentina and we are not far from that. Here a general salary goes from 200 to 400 dollars (no universitary degree, just as commerce worker) and its diffcult too for people make a nice living no matter here is very (but very) cheap.
I hope the world goes better in the future.

FWIW, not everyone (seems fewer than before and continuing on that way) enjoys a Middle (aka. Medium) income or better in the U.S.A. Our spending dollars have not increased enough to keep up with inflated prices on the markets. I see it getting worse when you take into account millions of Americans have NO insurance for themselves in case of injuries, where's other country's have wised up and taken action to have a national medical healthcare system (Canada for one).
Also disturbing is the lack of ethics and good judment that seems to be getting worse (or, happening more often). It seems everytime I read a Newspaper, CNN online or some other source has something about "so and so is found guilty of corruption" (of some sort).
Now I'm embarrased at the leadership at the top that we have. Very unprofessional, unaccountable, unreliable, and if you check the polls... undesirable!
Nay, I'll stay in and code some and try to keep myself away from those that do evil or charge an arm-and-a-leg for a gallon of gas.

I'm from Norway and I don't have many complaints really, apart from taxes which are extremly high here, but the average income is also pretty high so I guess that makes up for it.
Since we starting pumping oil Norway has become the worlds 3rd largest exporter of oil and we are a very rich country. Last year we found a gigantic coal pocket in the North sea which is supposedly going to be a much bigger richdom for my country than the oil is so I guess Norway isn't a bad country to live in. IF you have a job or other form of income.

Im from England, here we enjoy a very good standard of living. The average salary is £22,411 (about $39,678) per year.
House prices are high but the market and general economy is booming. Average house price is £150,000.
Technology is everywhere and everybody has many tv's, mobile phone, two cars per family, etc... I feel lucky to live here. The only real poverty here is the old age pensioners (the aged) because now government pensions are falling short of providing for such a high cost of living.
On the flip side though, the UK population on the whole has a record of being 1 trillion pounds in personal dept (credit cards, bank loans, etc.), more than france, germany, spain combined! I can see an economic crash soon here.

Denmark = small and very rich. Perfect combination

Actually we dont have a debt anymore.
Things are a bit expensive. However the average salary is then high.
Of course some are sitting bad in it.
But imho its not bad compared to liverpool in london and such stuff.
If you want to live good in denmark, i know you can get too. As long as you want to work, or study then its going good. In most of the european countries are doing good. England, Germany, france, norway, DENMARK, sweden, finland, switcherland and the rest (nearly.)
Besides, i might give you a free beer if you come here
