lemme post two of my own sayings:

- loyalty is expressed in salary
- i'm not here to make friends, i'm here to do my job

and my personal motivation:

- the only one that has to be statisfied about the things that i do is me
- if i go to bed in the evening, i have to be happy about the things i've done that day, so i will sleep content
- if i am not so happy about the things i've done today, i still be sleeping quite content, knowing that tomorrow i try to do it in a different way, and perhaps succeed where i failed today

Not a quote but a poem I really like (especially the highlighted part) and try to live, with every step I take:
