I was going to develop a small app for my wife (and myself)... I have not so much spare time in these months, so I prefer to ask here if someone already knows something similar:
She needs to upload photos easily to her website. I was thinking about an app (one time configuration) where you have just to drag and drop a file on a window, an the file is automatically uploaded. No logins, no passwords, destination directory is optional to... easy!

I made an easy "newbie" ftp uploader for images in visual dialog script some time ago. If you want I can find the code and post it here? Or compile it for you, but then I need to add an ini settings file feature because my settings is coded in the app itself.

Don't waste too much time for me

visual dialog script looks nice, perhaps I could compile you source by myself... It's not clear id DS is freeware on not...

It wouldn't be much trouble, just need to find it, editing wouldn't take more then a few minutes. VDS isn't freeware and you can't compile with the shareware version.

Very nice, my program was just small one with one setting. Think you should go for the Tango DropBox instead of my old program hehehe

Oh I once made a drag and drop ftp client, its in a working state but so ugly that I woudlnt dare to show it (you know, those things made for personal use... you sometimes dont take care of the design at all!).
Or I'm just the only stupid that doesnt take care of that for his own personal little tools?

You can open explorer and type in something like
ftp://www.google.com enter username/password and then just drag and drop or copy files as you would between local files/folders.

Everyone knows that, however the idea is that you dont need to give any input but the dropped file.

Oops, I didn't get the point. I thought using explorer was as easy as things could get.

Blade, I've been working abit on rewriting my old FTP app in VDS, do you need to use a proxy? I use it myself but I don't have to. Not sure how many actually use proxies on a day-to-day basis.
