Are you saying the real XP machine did the BSOD, and not the VM? Wow,
sounds like you need a better VM app... I can't see how anything running
under a VM could cause the real host machine to crash. I use Virtual PC.

The only BSOD i've ever made where always over hardware problems, never made one due to software.

Got one while working on ntework code my one and only caused by programming. It was more suprising and a little bit funny
Another thing was that I had to reboot after stress testing on a wrong receive rutine the tcp/ip stack was just to bloated up by the thousands of packets I sent with delay(0)

Only seen BSOD a few times in XP, and all of them was caused by either a hardware failure or 3rd party driver error. So M$ has done a good job with XP ;)

i use both virtual pc and vmware - ive had the same problems on both!
i think it was just cos of using the wrong functions....
and its has been b4 with a driver...
