Strange problem with Webgadget

Hi!
I have an offline version of a homepage with panorama pictures which use a Java-Applet an JavaScript.
I made a little WebGadget-Programm for the customers, so they can view the sites.
Now the problem: I made everything under Windows XP, and it everything works. When I try it under W2k, the panorama pictures do not work. There's only a grey area, and when I click on another picutre to view it, at JavaScript-Error appears. (on most pages, there is a selection of Panoramas, and you can click on it to view it in the "screen").
And now the strange thing: When I start the Offline-Webpage under IE or Firefox, everything works fine under XP AND 2k. When I start the online version of the page with the WebGadget, everything works fine too under XP AND 2k.
But when I start the offline version with WebGadget, it only works under XP, but not under W2k. I couldn't test it on other systems.
For testing, I tried with BCX, with the same results.
I think, it's a W2k-problem, that it does not allow all IE functions, when try to browse offline with IE embedded.
Or does anyone know what might be the problem?
Greetings
