(Being a continuation of the thread: viewtopic.php?t=17565)

Cool, looks like we're on Larkware.com!

In today's 11/8/05 coverage there's a link towards the bottom of the list with a link to PB's main site.

It seems that the info with the link to the Wikipedia's PB entry worked.

Fred, I think it might be time to consider updating the website.

Obviously it's your site and you decide what goes on, but if I might be so bold as to suggest, maybe you can take advantage of what's already been placed on the wikepedia PB entry which is up to date.

I'm hoping now to get PB covered on Slashdot. The only previous mention has been a couple of times in the forums.

But before that I think it might be a good idea to update the main page of the site.

What do you all think?

Very good suggestion.
I just think a better website which get the user to the main features of Purebasic, that is eye-attractive, useful, good for users too (so interactive), with a "project" page, screenshots, etc...
In fact, if you see the Dark Basic fact, the only good thing in this program actually is the website, so attractive that Dark Basic has a lot of users (even if the program is... well... err...).
I hope we'll get something good for PB4.0, I can help for that if you want :)

If you read just the first page, there's no mention of MacOSX :)
This link to my request on the post above :)

Fred,
I'm guessing the reason the site is not often updated is that you've got your hands full with developing PB 4.0 and you can bet none of us here want you to be distracted from that task.

That said, I think it would be for the benefit of PB ie. you and for the benefit of all of us who support you and PB to maintain a more dynamic site.

Unfortunately, that would require quite some work and attention.

So here's my suggestion, why not let some of us here in the community maintain the site for you? Any pages you would rather not have maintained such as the purchase pages, etc. would be excluded.

We could make changes to a temporary site available only to those in the community, with a required login. (if no one else has a web server, I'll volunteer my webserver)

Suggestions could be made, changes made and approved by majority etc. and finally when a new version is available, submitted to you for your approval. You can review it on the temp site and when satisfied we can send you the site.

What does everyone think?

And more importantly, what do you think Fred?

Yann Vanlerberghe is already supposed to maintain the site for Fred, I think.

Yes, there are posts in other forums mentioning how PureBasic would be nice if it supported OSX.

Probably time to do a little homepage maintenance.

cheers,
