Calendar functions or code from -3117 to 2020 and beyond

Hi Folks,
is there anyone having any idea how to write a simple calendar code working from -3117 to 2020 and beyond. As output just day of week (Mon, Tue, Wed) , month and year is required.

I have some code for a calendar that works from 1562-3999, but I need to translate it first (from another Basic language). Seems it's not up to your challenge though.

Sorry, but frankly speaking it doesn't help me really. Meanwhile I guess it's more worthwhile to translate everything to the julian calendar and after that back to ???????? It seems to be very hard to find a solution. Once I've read about an everlasting calender from -4000 to +5000 do you know anything about it?
