i would like to make a requester but i don't know how to lock the main thread like the requester lib does.

btw, i don't know how to make a window with a titlebar and a closegadget inside without min/maximize gadgets nor system menu (and its icon)

i searched for requester and box (like in message box) but didn't find anything.

It is easier to simulate a dialog box.

You want that that also works on Linux?

I searched for "modal" - which is the behavior you are looking for. A modal dialog halts the application until the user provides an input choice.

I also read in another thread that there are more examples in the CodeArchiv at purearea.net.
