"On the right" is a picture of a PSP. Based on the quote, it does not create games for the PSP, only games on similar mobile devices. wrote: In addition to creating games for Windows, Adventure Maker Free Edition (v4.1 or newer) is capable of exporting the projects so that they can be played on portable gaming systems similar to the one in the picture on the right.
Then farther down ...The Full Edition can create stand-alone executables, and supports 360-degree panoramas, multiple-CD distributions, easy-to-learn scripting, custom plugins, Flash movies (SWF), over 30 file types (OGG, XviD, DivX, mp3...), and much more
It claims to create stand alone EXes.. which is 100% lie as stated by it's own website.Among the generated files, you will notice that there is a Setup.exe file. It automatically detects the portable gaming system, and installs the software on it (to see it in action, download a sample compiled game). The Setup file requires the VB6 runtimes to run, but these are included by default in Windows XP, so you don't need to distribute them. For older operating systems, you may want to link to this page, which contains an updated link to a place where people can download the VB6 runtimes (1MB).
Bought it years ago, and there is still a large following. I have used it in classes due to it being affordable for classroom use. (I can't afford to buy software for my students.) You will find users on many of the adventure gaming sites along with the games and reviews of the system. Thats where I learned about it years ago.Where is the userbase then if not on the forums?
Its a point and click game maker, it has to be written in somethingThis isnt a bad program, especially since its created with Visual Basic 6
The reason these "game creators" say this is due to the amount of $$ needed for "officially" support PSP. It is a licensed platform, afterall."On the right" is a picture of a PSP. Based on the quote, it does not create games for the PSP, only games on similar mobile devices
It doesn't say the portable games need the runtimes. It says only the setup program (which you would install on your pc) needs the runtimes.PSP does not run VB runtimes Rolling Eyes
I have yet to see anything contradicting, all I have seen is you misreading the siteI am highly skeptical concerning this site that contradicts itself and known facts.
Very Cool!
