PB definitely has the most unreliable forums I have ever seen.

The forum downtimes are very annoying.
Never seen any other forum with so little availability.
Perhaps it is time to act nomad again, until we reach the hosting-oasis ?

I hope not!

Moving the forums for here to there (even with different domain name) hurts much the google part.

Also, the permanent troubles of the forum can give a bad idea about PB to some possible customer...

Yeah, they could be fooled into thinking the forum is down a lot if they see how often it's down.

Well, i don't plan to move them again, it's just too much hassle. Anyway, it would give me a better idea if someone can notify me (by mail) when the forums are down (to some basic stats). For now, i changed some settings to have better performances.

Maybe you will need to get some 2 GB e mail space! (Just a joke!)

djes: i wasn't aware of such services, thanks. I guess it can also be done easily with a little script on a gateway.

I could offer to host the forum(s) on my own root server. The whole service for free. If you are interested. Say simply.

Does that mean that you don't want email?

Yes, this service seems enough, so don't flood my email for now (even if i got a 2,5 Gb one :) )
