Hi zikitrake,

Really interesting. I released the program KidsCam only a few days ago (look at announcement or at http://www.x-beliebig.info) where I did one effect (disco) with a motion-detection algorithm, too. But my algorithm does not need an initial picture to compare with.

Your program always crashes on my system with a terracam usb professional. So I cant test ist. Is there something I have to prepare to test? Other programs using this webcam have no problems...

Hi Kukulkan,

Please try to re-download (this is a new version).

Can you tell me in what moment the program crash?

P.S: I saw your app. and is really funny. How you manage the camera? (I use avicap lib from PureArea.net)

Hi zikitrake,
Can you tell me in what moment the program crash?
In the moment I press Start Monitoring and I selected a camera that is not connected. In the new version, it works if I select a valid camera.
Motion-Detection works as far as I can see. What happens, if I initialize your program on a sunny day on afternoon and in the late night someone works across the visible area? Or if a cloud darkens the image for some seconds? Is your algorithm proof about such slow changes in the lightning?

Thank you. I use sendmessage_() with the avicap32.dll of windows. I dont need avicap-lib.

Theoretically, it does not pass anything, the program detects the changes of luminosity automatically.

He is not totally proven (it's an very early alpha version for now)

And a new version to download: http://zikitrake.com/zips/whoareu.zip

(ScreenShots don't works for now :D )

Neat!

How about coding in the ability to have the settings be remembered upon the next time the program is launched?

Doesn't seem to save images here. I changed the path to a folder on my desktop ("whoareu" folder to be exact).

Works perfectly here. Good job. I remember paying round $50 for one similar to this about 5 years ago. Actually, I like this one better.
