I really want to try the new PB 3.94 and I've seen that Fred has created a debian package which is really cool.
Now, which linux distro would you recommend to use with the Debian package and which additional packages would I need to install during the installation?

All tips would be appreciated :D

I recommend Ubuntu, especially if you're new to this whole thing.

I have a bunch of Ubuntu CD's here, I'm not totally new. With that I mean that I have tried alot of different distros, but I haven't used one more then a week or two.
I didn't know that Ubuntu supported Debian packages, guess it's based on Debian then?

Yes it's debian based, but in the lastest news, the whole Ubuntu project may fork from debian which is not a good thing.

Great, right after I have converted all of my workstations... Hopefully they will change their minds.

Ok, thanks for the info.

Btw, is something wrong with the mail notification on the forum? I haven't gotten any email when a thread has been replied to
