Engine Speeds for Windows

Following my Slot Cars Speeds is Engine Speeds!

Engine Speeds is a Windows program that allows the user to experiment with gear ratios and tire sizes. Engine Speeds calculates the engine speeds at various vehicle speeds for various gearing and tire sizes.

Engine Speeds allows the user to input factors that determine the theoretical top speed of a vehicle. Engine Speeds produces a chart that displays the engine speed in each gear from minimum to the maximum engine speed.

Engine Speeds expects the user to input minimum and maximum engine speeds, the number of speeds in the transmission, the final drive ratio, and the size of the drive tires.

The user is then free to enter up to seven forward gear ratios.

Pretty sweet little app :)
Suggestion. See if you can add some more stuff like veichle weight, engine capacity, etc & see if you can also come up with approx Horsepower / Kilowatt output @ both flywheel & drive wheels.
Lots of petrol heads would then be downloading your app so they can argue the point over who has the biggest........................... ingen

Baldrick

p.s. Sub-routine, before you ask, yes I am an old Petrol head from way back. Still own the same old Holden Torana SL/R5000 - { old Aussie Muscle car of the era! }I bought when i was all of 18 yrs old. ( 400Hp Holden 5 litre V8 - spent a small fortune building the motor to do that so I could lose my licence more than I had it back in those days  ) - Old thing now sits retired up on blocks in my shed & only really comes out at rego time these days.

Thank you people.

Not a chance, sorry. Strictly hard mathmatics for this program. I have considered your ideas, but there are too many variables. Perhaps in the future I could import dyno graphs.

I posted a notice on one relatively small automobile board, and have had 84 downloads between here and there, in less than 14 days. So I think it is flying off the shelves :D

Not too many comments, so I guess Engine Speeds works. Could someone please try the printing routine? Please?
