Hello,
The final release of PureBasic 3.94 linux is out ! Compared to the last stable version, it features the new IDE and debuggers for both GTK1.2 and GTK2, a much improved GTK2 support (should be at the same level of GTK1.2 libraries) and many other improvements. The list of most important changes are here :
http://www.purebasic.com/news46.php3 . You can grab it on your personnal account.
Next to follow is the final version of the OS X version (probably during this week) and then the 3.9x series will be finished and we will move forward to the 4.x versions

.
Enjoy,
The PureBasic Team.

Code: Select all
Num3's Law
Any number that approaches the infinite equals 0 (absolute nothing).
Why!?
The proof of googolplex considers we must wait, and wait, until a powerfull Corollary 2 is fast enough to beat all previous.
That will never happen, because it will be an infinite wait (0), so any Googolplex you ever consider calculate will always be 0.

We have just added a .deb package for Debian users (very easy to install/update and remove). It's on your personal account

Great ! Thanks and congratulation to the PureBasic team for this release.
Can the debian package be used with Ubuntu (debian based) ?

Mowen: it shouldn't be a problem.

So, the 3D engine again gets pushed back, or are this going to be
finalized along with DX9 support in the Sprite library for v4.0?
How long is it gonna take before the v4.0 see the light of day, if so? ehh:)
I have a very serious problem with the FreeTexture and CreateTexture
if it was already present in memory. It crashes all the time. It works
in the .dll that follow the final 3.94win release, but that has many other bugs that worked fine in the v1.03 beta release so i stuck with that beta, but then the beta has the no_workaround texture bug as mentiond.
This function I frustrating me alot, because it holds back the
development for my 3D Matrix Core Menu System which I use on my homebuilt Arcade Console Machine which is beyond all on the earth really...:)

My Ubuntu system says the package architecture don't match the (i386) system (amd64).
Don't know much about deb packages, but is it possible that this one is made for intel only?
