Is there any plan to come out with a real Demo that will Demo all the commands> I downloaded the demo and you can't really run but half the programs that come with it. This seems a little weird!! Also do they intend to add a currency variable and Type & End Types?

Hi Flubber,
Welcome Aboard.
I agree that the examples thing is a bit weird - how can you evaluate what is disabled? But I think you can get a the main functionality of PureBasic without the demos that don't demo. Perhaps they should have a folder called Registered Version Examples.
Can't say if there is any intention to create new demos/examples. Can give an opinion that this is unlikely.
The Type/End Type ah-la qBasic etc is handled by Structure/EndStructure in PureBasic.
76? I'm inspired!

I think the limitation of the demo versio is ok! Why not add the executeable of each example (in demo version only) to the archive?
so newbies can take a look to the source and can test the executeable (even, when the compiler would not compile becoz of demo limitations)

afaik the only limits are max source size and NO API CALLS[i write with caps as this is REALLY a great thing with purebasic!]
What languages are you using now?

I think it would be a good idea to allow just a couple of selected API calls with the Demo, just to show off one of PBs best features.

Christmas is coming soon

Or do you have a birthday earlier? I would be thrilled to have any of my kids request a program instead of a game! Show them the price for VB and other compilers. PureBasic is a bargain. You will learn a lot by using it.
Offer to do extra chores and get good grades to earn PB and they will realize you are serious.

@sk8terboi
In May, 2005, it was US$78.05. So, depending on the Euro today, it should be close...
Edit:
Sorry I missed the other reply. Dinner was calling!
Good Luck!

Welcome to the forums and to PureBasic, Flubber!
By the way, age doesnt matter when it comes to programming.
