Anyone know if there is a plugin(?) similar to IETOOL for Firefox?

Poll- What browser do you use?

I voted for Firefox, but why wasn't there a Firefox-only option? I never use
IE at all anymore, but your option for it makes it look as though I sometimes
use it. :roll:

I also voted for Firefox for generally browsing the web. However, when it is
about testing own html-sites I of course check them with the most common
browsers like IE, Opera and so on.

However, right now it seems that the majority of ppl voted uses Firefox.
This isn't very comparable with the general surfer. According to a research
by onestat.com, the majority (~87%) still uses Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
Only ~8.5% uses Firefox.

Nevertheless, it seems like Firefox is gaining more and more of users.

I voted Firefox, even though I've never heard of IETOOL. I use IE only for listening to Launchcast radio online (kicks *ss). Other than that, never fire it up.

Well FireFox API is very diferent from IE's ...

If anyone makes a plugin template, i'll sure make a few for Firefox

I guess koehler means the tool by fr34k that puts an Icon in your Internet
Explorer Toolbar, that lets you execute PureBasic Sourcecode directly from
any HTML Page.

Yes, but we PureBasic users are more intelligent and net-savvy.

And why not ? It's fast, efficient, lightweight, tolerant and virtually bugfree.

Um, okay. Keep telling yourself that.

(You do know IE just had another critical security patch released yesterday,
don't you? Take a look: http://tinyurl.com/cycya -- links to News.com.au).

Windows update is permanently enabled here and takes care of most of that kind of problems, I think.
(Hope so, haven't seen too much problems so far..) :roll:

And just a question. As far as I know IE is a part of the OS, and can't be removed. Which means installing
Firefox just adds a lot of Mb's to my system, right ??

Just wanted to mention that I phrased the Firefox w/IE as I figured a lot of people probably use IE only when they absolutely must, or possibly when surfing this forum in particular. There still are numerous sites that require IE to work properly (banks, etc) or else I'd see what the 98lite folks are up to and banish it outright.

I think most of the more technically inclined users, or those who are supported by such(us) are using FF or Mozilla on Windows. Even with a good AV and moderately tight IE set-up and routine Windows Updates, I still had too many annoyances with IE and vulnerabilities on our home systems. Since about FF 1.0 and forward, its been a lot less exciting.
And the support calls I get at dinner at much fewer from family....

normal people uses IE.. we are programmers ( no ? ) we use the best, we aint conformist people. We can stay a whole night adding a feature to a program we're developing or just programming, fixing a bug, etc. I guess thats not normal behavior for normal people -_- meh normal people uses their pc for chatting, downloading crap and playing games all day... I use mine to work.
