497 milion euros
It's not because Microsoft is a big company that they can take them a lot of money for a stupid thing...
That's a really stupid decision...
I agree if we could have the choice to don't install it it's better, but ask money for that is... stupid.

You say that but im sure you wrote that message from a microsoft OS (can be..) - I say people has nothing else to to than sue other companies for stupid lame things..

If you fall in front of a local, you might sue them because you scratched your leg with their floor or worst in first place you falled because of the polished floor! and even scratched! double sue!! -- well when your health is on risk then its more "ok" to sue... but eh mhh... europe go ... f.. fry ... eggs!

Busted! You are right, I am using Windows and I agree that it's ridiculous that people sue companies for stupid reasons.

However, the only reason I am using Windows and not Linux is simply because the majority of games I play haven't been ported to Linux. Once Linux has matured enough for the big software publishers to take more notice, I'm going to leave Windows behind once and for all. So, I'm not using MS products because I like them or want to, it's just because I have no choice in the matter.

Up the revolution!

Hey they are so crazy don´t they know that linux ships with ten mediaplayers 20 browsers ten packers 15 compilers and they are aloud to do that. It´s so damn good that Fred landsmen saved Europe from getting its new ALL IN ONE constitution. We in germany werent asked but our damn politicians loved this idea. Ohyeah Fred tell your people that you saved our ASS thank you so much.

eh linux? im sorry but the thing is here, that windows comes with 1. linux comes with many, and is free. linux is not even to be compared with in this issue!

We want our free cake!
And we want to eat it too!

If "integrated" windows apps are disallowed, then it is obvious there will be some sort of cost in getting the app, even it is only in time wasted on download or CD install. But more likely some extra dosh will be added to the cost.

The real issue is surely whether windows allows/disallows competitive 3rd party apps. So if MS crippled or disabled other media players, browsers, etc then this should be canned.

But forcing MS to make more money by "unbundling" and selling their otherwise free (rare as those are) apps as add-ons seems like a very strange punishment.

If they crippled Windoze to force people to use their software, they'd be in the same boat as they are now. 1. They'd be sued for anti-competitive practice and 2. People would just start using other OS's.

And I should sue people for sueing without a real point or argument..

Wait a minute, you said "Windoze" thats an offence to Microsoft®
We will sue you and you'll have to pay to the Microsoft Corporation 300.000 dollars plus lawyers royalties and company defamation -

That'd be 534.329 with 9 cents, please pay on the next window, thank you.
