I've just bought (but still waiting for delivery of) this copy of PureBASIC.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW

Until it arrives I can't say which version number it is etc. - but is it a valid one for upgrades or have I just bought a pup and will still need to buy the proper version?

It's main use will be to convert a load of my old Win98 trainers done in TMK into proper .EXE trainers using the excellent library I've found on here. My site is full of my old trainers but I continually get emails asking for them to be WinXP compatible .. a trainer creators life is never dull!

Never heard of PURE BASIC Professional. :?

It might be the retail boxed version that was on sale some years ago which i think was about version 3.30. If it is that version there is a (small) charge to be able to upgrade your license to the fully upgradable version.

The text blurb looks as if it has been lifted verbatim from the PB site and if this is the old 3.3 version some of them features are not included such as the 3D engine.

This is the 3.10 version and you will have to charge 39 Euros to have access to the unlimited updates, so better don't pay it more than 20 Euros or you willn't gain anything (Well a nice DVD box  ).

Phew .. £11.70 so just about 20 Euros by my rough reckoning.

So this means I qualify for the 39 Euro upgrade I take it, if this is the version everyone thinks it is?

I will confirm the exact version when I get it home and install it etc.

Right, ready to upgrade .. but the main site says that the 39 Euro upgrade is for German visitors only?

How do I get the upgrade if I'm based in the UK?

PM or reply here ..whichever is easier.

Hi, and welcome :)

Just ask Fred, he is the esteemed Author of Purebasic :D, he replied to you in this thread!

Fred's been in touch, so just arranging the dosh from bank to PayPal so I can offload it into his direction.

Then all I got to do is sort out a decent looking trainer engine and start remaking all my old trainers.

Should be fun to say the least.

The most interesting part of all this is that the guy is still selling them ?!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 7167391706

Which makes me wonder:-

1. Where is he getting them all from ?

2. Is Fred getting a cut ?

Yep, same place I bought my copy from.

Must be a bulk purchase from a remainder depot of un-sold copies.

Would like to buy PureVision XP as well as it looks the dogs doodah's .. but no PayPal :(

Is it possible to pay for this via someone else on here and I'd recoup the costs via Bank Transfer or via PayPal afterwards?

It's now official .. I've paid the 39 Euros so I'm a legit 101% PB owner.

Now just got to find the time and brush up and then start converting.

Many thanks Fred for allowing the special offer upgrade price.

Do a search here for "trainer" and you'll find heaps of good examples,
include a trainer library that makes the job a whole lot easier. :)

Yep already downloaded and installed the library. Only trainer example I could find though is the one for Locomotion?

Found one to change values in calculator, but I need a *proper* trainer engine so I can replace my TMK pokes with proper code.

Or have I been looking in the wrong threads? (I did a search on "trainer")
