Save String with WriteStringN()

I know: WriteStringN() is writing an 'End-of-line' after the String.
Is these 'End-of-line' in PureBasic anytime 2 bytes (#LFCR$ or #LFCR$) or is the 'End-of-line' in certain cases 1 byte long (Linux, AmigaOS)?
