need help with cddb

I need help on getting cd information, was using CDEX to rip cd’s to mp3 files, (it’s for personal use).
If you want to know, it’s an Audio Bible consisting of 60 cd’s, cdex did Ok up to cd #17 but failed with cd #18, while windows mediaplayer had no problem getting the track names, so there must be a server somewhere that has the info.
The reason I’am ripping the cd’s is that I can put all 60 cd’s onto 6 cd’s and can listen for as long as I want without having to change cd’s.
any help is appreciated :)

It's a nice DB and all you want, but they sell the sdk (http://www.gracenote.com/gn_products/cddb.html) ... I wonder, if you accessed the data you need, would that be legal?, etical? :?

But I think I got your wrong.. you might just want to get this info, but not to implement cddb into an application right?.

:P

yes, like i said, i want to rip the cd's because of the convenience of not having to change cd's, you see i am a truck driver and have installed a cd player that can play mp3's, but never mind, Musicmatch is working :)

Maybe there is a copy protection on the cd? Is it new?

I would, instead of ripping to mp3 and burning on CDr's, rip as MP3 and use Audio DVD Creator. I did that with all my dad's Elvis albums, 52 of them in all and burned everything on one single DVD audio disc ;)

Well I think he has a cd player with mp3 support, not a dvd player ;) as he said its for the truck player, not for his PC.

I think, no? :D

Was that an attempt at being sarcastic?
Anyways, not sure where you are from but it's getting more and more common to have DVD players here in Norway. And I've seen a VW bug with a plasma screen, so there hehehe. Was on Pimp my ride on MTV.

a free alternative db to cddb,
several ripping tools support it too.
