				Hello!
I'm glad to present our nice game
Gloomy Nights and Living Dead!
It's been developed by my girlfriend and me, and we tried to combine our love for horror films with our love for old computer games
The result is this game. It was originally written in Visual Basic last year, but then it had quite a few bugs in it which made it crash without reason etc. We found PureBasic then and thought about re-coding the whole game. It was a lot of work of course, and it's not always encouraging if you know that you may write just everything from scratch, but we think it was worth it
Now, I don't want to talk too much, as it would cost your playing time

Direct download:

You can also visit the game's website:
http://www.gloomy-nights.de
If you still find any bugs, please report them.
The game has got 100 levels, so be sure to have a LOT of fun

				I'm lovin' it!
Nice "drawn pixel per pixel" graphics, cool "ghosty" music, time bonus, new enemies types in further levels, pretty intermissions, end-of-level monster, scoring screen, gore

 ...
You mixed parts of many my favourite games (80's arcades) into one, great!
Would you add some more bonus, just to make it a bit more various, such as a "speed walking" (Buble Bobble red shoes anyone?) ability to shoot more than one bullet (Bubble Bobbel candies), or even harder to kill / unkillable enemies?

Well then, you could try to guess which game was our main inspiration

These ideas are good, but not in this version anymore. We programmed it for the second time now, and now we'll just leave it this way

but we already thought about a sequel, perhaps we'll give it a few more extras!
Thanks to you and all the others for your nice comments

				We updated a little thing...
On some notebooks there was a problem with the 320x240 fullscreen mode... so now you've got the choice between fullscreen and window mode
And, please... if someone gets it through, post it here

By the way, the last 10 levels have another (secret) design!

Hi, I'm the other one who created the game

@ Blade:
WOW... how did you reach the end so fast?

Probably it was TOO easy for you

When I reached the 50th level I was going to quit, but you talked about the latest ten levels, so I had to see them!

Thanks to the console-style pass codes I could play it for 15-20 minutes every now and then... reaching the end wasn't too hard...
I'm still happy about your work, a similar attention to details isn't common in a "free" game.
@Dready, you are not Jennifer nor Christian, right? so you software house has three people! wow!

I'm waiting for your next game!

				Hi Blade!
I am Jennifer, but you can call me Jenny

I always (or mostly) use the nickname in boads, so that I don't mix up anything

so... ZeHa = Christian & Dready = Jennifer

Allright?
But we're happy that you like our Gloomy... We are always thinking about more games, programs and even comics

So stay tuned... we'll go on working hard for Dr. Wuro

Well you can play the game as you want, however it would be nice if you wouldn't spoil what others might still expect to see

That's it... if everyone knows those things before he found out them on his own, there's no surprise anymore.
