I posted it into the german forum  . @traumatic: seems that you have credits in the help file:
- Aktualisiert: Interface-Importer und DirectX9 Interfaces in den Residents (danke an Traumatic!)
!?! :( :?  :D ?!?
I also want a credit :P .

Btw.: Why is in the www.purebasic.com title "PureBasic : visual basic compiler"??? PureBasic is definately not Visual Basic.

traumatic: that's because the .zip compression is definitely worste than the cool lzma one used in the installshield.

darkdragon: it's not 'Visual Basic compiler' it's 'visual basic compiler' ;). Let's PureBasic do some more hits on Google... and it has a Visual Designer no ? 8)

Installshield huh? doesn't that cost some cash for licensing?

Myself I prefer NSIS (by Nullsoft), it's free and darn good. (and the overhead is tiny)
And it also support lzma *grin*

Don't know. But I do know that I kept getting prompts that some files
were read-only... one was in the Examples folder, and another in the
LibMaker one (I think). A bit annoying... makes for a slower install,
because I didn't see the first prompt until I got back to my PC after
starting the install. :?

Installshield? Where? The last time I updated was via Smart Updated.

I hate Installshield because it also installs a background task/service/whatever that is intended for checking if there are Updates for Programs. Problem here: I have no choice, I even get no warning and last but not least I don't want or need this additional Software.

It's not installshield, it's InnoSetup: a free, very good installshield like software.
