Because you can still find "utterly jaw dropping" stuff out there.

Like this 1024 bytes OpenGL program:

Hmm, this is utterly slow on my PC -- about 5 fps or so. Maybe it's jaw
dropping on higher-end PCs, but it runs pathetic on lesser systems. :(

it runs without any problems at all, with a lot of fps's.

I dunno my system is might classified as middle-class?
2000+ amd athlon XP, 768 mb ddr ram, radeon 9600XT 256mb, 240 gb hdd.
?

whatever, its pretty nice in 1 kb!

I think the jaw-dropping part is that it works in 1024 bytes :-)

just for the record; your system is way over middle class, thefool... :)

Rather slow here, perhaps it is dependant upon hardware accelleration.

Still, the thing could fit into a ZX81 without the RAM pack. Respect is due.

Well, as long as you forget this:-

1. The OpenGL code wouldn't fit into a ZX81!, let alone Windoze
2. It would not look good, blocky grafix and B&W! :(

Now, if we were talking about the Oric Atmos, then I might agree :P

LOL

Runs quite smooth here. Really cool! I now use it as screensaver!

and the computer :D
and both are semi slow
both are p4 2.4 with 1 gig of ram and ati radeon 9100 (it goes a diffrent name under the laptop)
