As of today, i have setup a free service for people who use PureBasic, I know how hard it can be sometimes to upload your files, share them etc so this is why i have done this.

You can upload your PB stuff, And allow other's to view the source or your apps.

There are only a few rules you must abide by to use this service without hassle:

1) No files over the size of 50mb
2) Sourcecode/app must be about PureBasic!

Any breaking of the rules will result in the file deleted, and repeat offences, banned.

Now here's how to use it, Firstly you can upload/download your files 1 of 2 ways

First) http://purebasicftp.info/
Second) ftp://purebasic@purebasicftp.info/

I hope you enjoy this, You may also use it for 3rd party hosting for the Christmas compo :)

PS: Once your file is uploaded, you may not delete it
PPS: All files uploaded are publicly viewable, Please upload only what you intend to be public.

Thanks, -Tom

that's very nice of ya Tommeh. now we need an organized description/review/comments/rating system 8)
Someone could write a program to access the FTP implimenting these things (with data stored in files)... And of course they could share it on your ftp...
Wish I had enough free time to do it!

Yes what i will do is implement a whole user system, You can register and get your own account name, and be in full control of your files.

The downside is having to register, not to hard if i can make it automated. First i will see if i can find a managment system like this :)

This is essentially what I have done with PureStorage. The difference being that one can manage their own files and folders on the server with delete capabilities. The file manager also creates phpBB links for images and downloads. I put an annoucement in the tools, addon section in the beginners topic: viewtopic.php?t=6691&postdays=0&postord ... e&start=15

The sign-up has been high but only 5 people have actually uploaded files. I think that people, who would normally post files, already have web space.

Good luck.

Hi - guess I don't understand how to look at an upload. When I click on one of the two programs I get a message box asking for a password. No matter what I put in I get a "550 error - path does not exist". If I go to the other page it's the same procedure but then I get just a blank page. What am I doing wrong. Looks like a great place to share programs. Maybe there was something wrong in the way I uploaded Puchinko.
