This looks great. It's a bit of a treck but it just might be worth it.

Anybody else interested on going along? Perhaps we could car pool?

Would probably be something I'd be interested in if it weren't so biased towards games - it seems that way anyway, apologies if it's not. I think the 6 hours might be a bit much for what seems to be a small show (looking at last years pictures).

I'm curious, but unfortunately any original thoughts I have are owned by my employer.

To be blunt, I'm really curious but would hate to travel up to Doncaster only to find there are 3 other guys there. Push this hard and get some commitment. I wish you luck, I hope to be there.

Perhaps invite a certain *guest* speaker called Fred along...

I honestly doubt Fred is going to travel from France to Doncaster for such an uncertain event.

I went to blitzcon 2 and it was quite a laugh, but it was more geared towards drinking alcohol than anything else. it may have changed since I went last... who knows? All I know is it was a bloody good laugh :)

I appreciate what you are saying here. In all honesty, we've surpassed that as we've now organised a good 4/5 of these.

This new format Coder's Workshop is much more generic and much more professional than previous events, which were specific to one language, as we were just treading the water with those...these are still fun but we have sponsors onboard now eg. Nividia is co-sponsoring this particular event.

If it helps, 14 people have pre-registered so far, plus there's 5 attendees from the videogame/computer industry attending, so we are currently up to 19 attendees. I'm pretty confident that the turn out will be around 50 people.

If you have any q's please feel free to email me directly george@idigicon.com

ps...Hey up "Lucy"...how is it going mate?? :)

All the best :)

No, not at all.

Whether you program games, apps or utilities, it doesn't really matter. This is a Programmers meet no matter what language you use or what you actually code within your language of choice.

Cheers :)

Is the event organised by Idigicon?

I understand Krylar's book is being published by Idigicon too.

It would be nice to have another company taking an interest in Purebasic.

I had heard about the split between Mark Sibly and Idigicon. However, I also know of other's who are happy in their dealings with Idigicon. I know from bitter experience that even the most amicable of working relationships can turn very sour all too easily.

If Idigicon are going to publish book about learning Purebasic, and publish software made by Purebasic programmers, and provide social events for Purebasic coders then I can only see this as a positive thing.

OK, thanks for the reply. Might be worth having a nose around.

TBH, Lucifer had me sold when alcohol was mentioned ;)
