Hell yeah! The original Settlers ruled! I couldn't stand all the sequels, they
lacked the charm of the original. Can't wait for WinUAE v1.00 to be ported
to the Xbox too. :)

v1.0 is just a name. WinUAE has been perfectly (ish) usable since 0.6.9 :)

Yeah!, I know it Tinman, but author says there was known bugs which don't allow to play some concrete games, etc. and most of them are repaired, and newest versions allow more, more, more...

just started down the slippery road of emulation, winuae does work :-) although i still have some troubles getting certain things to run... :-(

for example, i downloaded some demos that are *supposed* to work with winuae, and they start, yet once started i am asked to use the function keys to select something, and then... nothing happens

i've tried the cloanto thing, but that's a bit overkill, i guess, as all i want to run is a few games and demos, then again, some demos need an os :-(

if anybody is deeply into amiga emulation, feel free to pm me :-)

other emulators working:

- mame (who remembers 1942?)
- atari800win (5200 and 800, ah, the old days)
- winvice, as c64 and vic20 (started up defenda, i played that?!?)
- neoragex (although mame does it all as well, thus far)
- winuae... under investigation :-)

i had not much luck with the other commodore and atari emulators, but at least the above (mostly) work

remaining: mess, just for the sake of completeness...

looks great, i use a small second hand compaq deskpro slimline (p3-800) as an enhanced dvd player ie. game console, nice for a little pacman now and again ;-)

I get this error: "BTTR downloads temporarily disabled!"

Have you got another link to it?

very cool! definitely can't wait for it...i'm an emulator freak (in addition to collecting vintage computers).

I've got working on my P4:
  • winuae (even transferred stuff to/from my amiga 500!)
    applepc
    applewin
kegs (also have the newer web-based version-can't remember name)
    vice
    ccs64
    pc64
    atari800win
winston (a couple of other atarist emu-can't remember name)
    mame
basilliskii (messed around with the beta (alpha?) version of pearpc but took it off)
trs80 mod i,iii,iv emulator (can't remember the name)
coco emulator (can't remember the name)
and actually own (working with vintage software apps/games):
  • amiga 500
apple iigs (woz edition...first computer i personally owned; though this is not the same one)
    mac 6100AV (upgraded to G3)
various pc motherboards from 386 to present
still wanting to add (as soon as cost/time/space allows):
  • another trs80 mod iii (i had to give up my last one when i moved...tsr80's was where i got my start so i'm wanting to get that one back)
another c64 (last one gave to my niece WAY BACK when and has since been tossed by her)
    atari 800
    atari st
    timex sinclair/spectrum
    ti 99/4a
altair or imsai (want to build this myself)
of course, that doesn't include my list of console emus and working systems. :D

blueznl> i tried the demo successfully : in fact this is not a demo but a musidisk ! When you hit a funciton key you should hear a song, that's it :D

nhokem>i am also a emulation freak since 1988 (PC Ditto for my Atari St), i can't count how many emulators i have now

i know it's a musidisk :-) it just doesn't react to any settings or configs, what did you use as settings? and what winuae version?
